At the end of December, I have moved this blog to a new address, and I will not update this site anymore. I have called the Tech Support and they confirmed that there was no way to move all the postings from here to the new site, and that’s why I’ll keep this site to keep all the posting and especially all the comments. The new site gives me more flexibility to design the look of the blog and to make all the changes I need.

Please visit my new site.

That was the question a friend of mine asked me this morning, when I showed him this blog and told him to use the same webhosting that I’m affiliated with. He could not understand why am I doing this?

Three reasons, I told him.

First, I would like to update my linkpage in a quick and easy way. In the past I tried to update by adding a what’s new section in my index page, but it was a tedious job. I need to go through editing, uploading process etc. With a blog, it’s much easier and I can update it individually without tying it to any page. This is a good starting place where I can learn the art of blogging and how to make money.

Second, I love to do volunteer works, such as maintaining the website of my church or helping people seting up the blog for their charity work. All these takes time…., and sometime I have to spend extra out of pocket money. After reading the various stories at John Chow’s blog, like this one, I thought, hm, may be I need to create a blog and let the blog collects some extra money to reduce my expenses after spending time working on these sites.

Third, the extra income that people can make from the Internet as described in John Chow’s posting is really amazing. This is what John Chow wrote about Jeremy Shoemaker:”If ever anyone can be considered an Internet marketing superstar, ShoeMoney would be near the top of the list. Jeremy Shoemaker is a search engine marketer who knows how to take advantage of both Google AdSense and AdWords. In the above photo, you see him with the biggest Google AdSense check he has ever received from Google. The income was earned back in the month of August 2005.”

I thought what Jeremy and others have made via the Internet were really incredible. Of course it all dependents on so many factors such as, how much time are you going to put in, how are you going to slant your site, etc. You can find all these factors described in one of John Chow’s article cited above and John will help to promote your site too if you you know how. However, my point is, there is a possibility to make money here. I saw so many technical sites in various fields on the Internet, some have already utilized the adsense and other affiliate programs, such as Heavens-above, CalSKY, just to name a few in the same techical field as mine,… but many have done nothing in that direction at all. I think a link to John Chow’s “The Internet’s biggest Google Whores” page may surprised them. I hope!

Isn’t it too late, now? My friend asked. I just shrugged my shoulder. “You never know!” When I said bye to him, suddenly the pharase, ”if you think you can or if you think you can’t, you’re always right” filled up my mind.

Over the years, I have kept a Satellite Tracking linkpage website offering quick links to various visual satellite tracking resources on the Internet. However, due to my other activities, it was hard to keep up with the changes or to repair the broken links. There was also no update and no one knows what was new. With the widespread of Blogging software, I started to think of creating my own blog to record any change to the links I made. In that way, visitors would be able to identify the new links quickly. But it was not until today that I have a chance to create this blog. I will move the linkpages from the original site to this server in the next few days and will update with a new entry here whenever I make any change or add a new link there.

My original site offers a quick link to Satellite Tracking resources on the Internet. The links are grouped into 4 main groups:

The Online Tutorials,

Real-time Satellite Tracking Links,

Satellite Tracking Software,

Space Related Links

These links originated from my favorite list which I started to compile back in 1999. One thing I noticed during the time was that there were plenty of satellite tracking related information available on the Internet. However, most of the time I had to dig through a chain of pages before I could find what I really wanted. Indeed, lists or table of contents are provided to help visitors navigating each sites; but chances are, those lists are too extensive.

Accordingly I have tried to limit my list to a bare minimum, and provided only the link to a particular page on the sites that offer some of the basic information on the selected topic. In so doing, I have excluded so many interesting Sat-track sites on the Internet, which does not mean they are less worthy than what I have listed here. As times goes by, I have come to know all these interesting sites, and also found many more sites that I would like to add to my list. However, since most of these new sites can be reached from some of the existing links, I have to keep the existing list the way they are except for some minor replacement when any of the links goes bad. Most of my new links were added to Space Links or Personal Links pages, including my favorite story and these lists keeps growing. During my last update, all the links are connected and worked fine. However, if you find any dead link, please drop me
